Rifat ‘Ralph’ Daoud MA, LAC
Therapist, Goodyear Litchfield Rd. & Telehealth
Rifat "Ralph" Daoud, MA, LAC is a grounded therapist whose approach centers on whole-person wellness, recognizing that physical, mental, and emotional health are deeply interconnected and continually shape one another. He works with a range of clients, from adolescents to adults, and brings a distinct perspective informed by his background in exercise science and athletic performance.
Ralph completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University and earned his MA in Counseling from Ottawa University. He remains closely connected to his passion for physical wellness — the very roots of his passion for mental wellness — and it continues to shape his understanding of the connection between physical conditioning and mental resilience.
Lasting change, Ralph believes, comes from addressing the whole person rather than isolated symptoms. He is dedicated to building genuine confidence in his clients, with the goal of helping them develop the tools to eventually graduate from therapy and carry what they've learned into every area of their lives.
Working with individuals ages 12 and up, Ralph supports his clients in navigating feelings of isolation, depression, grief, loss, and major life transitions. He has particular experience with athletes facing performance anxiety that affects their game-day experience, and with parents seeking guidance on how to support teenagers who are struggling at school, in relationships, or elsewhere.
Those seeking to address men's issues is are also likely strong area of fit for Ralph, and he has a particular interest in supporting young men and teenage boys — understanding the importance of healthy male relationships and the role the therapeutic relationship itself can play in helping young men build confidence and connection.
In session, Ralph combines practical, skill-based techniques with genuine warmth, giving clients tools they can apply across every stage and challenge of life. His background in athletics and coaching informs his understanding of the mental side of performance, and he brings that same dedication and encouragement to his therapeutic work.
